Why BitSMS
SMS you can rely on, and see into
Reliable by design
BitSMS connects to more than one upstream SMS route. If one slows down or fails, non-masking messages move to the next healthy route automatically.
Fast, with priorities
Your request returns as soon as the message is safely queued. OTPs go in their own priority lane, so a big campaign never delays a login code.
Clear, per message
Every message has a trace: when it was accepted, which route carried it, each retry and why, and the delivery report. Signed webhooks push each change to you.

Frequently asked questions
What is an SMS gateway?
An SMS gateway lets your website or app send text messages through an API instead of a phone. BitSMS takes your request, chooses a route to the mobile operator, sends the message and reports whether it was delivered.
Which operators can I send to?
All Bangladeshi mobile operators: Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink, Airtel and Teletalk. At launch BitSMS sends to Bangladeshi mobile numbers only.
What is the difference between masking and non-masking SMS?
Non-masking SMS arrives from a phone number. Masking SMS arrives under your brand name, such as "MyShop". Masking needs a one-time approval with your business documents and costs a little more per SMS.
How many characters fit in a Bangla SMS?
A Bangla SMS holds 70 characters. Longer messages are split into parts of 67 characters, and each part is billed as one SMS. An English-only SMS holds 160 characters, then 153 per part. Try the calculator on the Features page.
What happens if a route is down?
BitSMS watches every route's health. Non-masking messages fail over to another healthy route. Masking messages stay on the route your sender name is approved on and are retried there, because operators only accept a brand name on its approved route.
Do I pay for messages that fail?
If no route accepts your message, its cost goes back to your balance automatically. Once an operator has accepted a message it is charged, even if the phone is off or the number no longer exists.
Can I use BitSMS with my BitCommerz store?
Yes. BitSMS is made by BitCommerz. In your BitCommerz dashboard, choose BitSMS as the SMS gateway and paste your BitSMS API key; order and OTP messages then go through BitSMS.
